Timothy Mottet, president of Colorado State University Pueblo, is pleased to announce the return of the CSU Pueblo President’s Gala, now branded the CSU Pueblo President’s Blue and Red Gala. The Gala will take place on Saturday, Aug. 14 in the Occhiato Student Center Ballroom on campus. Proceeds from the Gala directly benefit future generations of CSU Pueblo students through scholarships and programs.
The Kenneth King Foundation awarded Colorado State University Pueblo $50,000. This award, given to the CSU Pueblo Works Program will provide grants to eligible CSU Pueblo Nursing students to supplement students’ unpaid clinical requirements. Up to 15 nursing students will be presented need-based stipends for previously unpaid clinical internships and field experiences in the 2021-2022 academic year. Stipends will vary by need and provide students with livable hourly pay to perform their work-based academic requirements.
Colorado State University Pueblo will host performances of the Fantasticks Saturday July 31 and Sunday August 1 at 7 p.m. These performances will be held outdoors beginning at 8 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. outside at the Hasan Amphitheater on the west side of campus.

During the 2021 Spring semester, 1,089 Colorado State University Pueblo students achieved a 3.50 grade-point average or higher. These 1,089 students navigated hybrid learning models, less in-person interaction and a pandemic to earn a place on the Dean’s List. All of these 1,089 undergraduate degree-seeking students completed 12 or more credit hours this spring.
Colorado State University Pueblo welcomes visiting scholar Colonel Courtney Short through the Retiring Officer Teaching Fellowship with the Chamberlain Project. Colorado State University Pueblo’s student-run radio station Rev 89, recently celebrated 10,000 podcast downloads. The radio station began producing podcasts in the Fall of 2018 which quickly included sports, local public affairs, and other topics of interest generated by students in the Media Communication department.
The Colorado State University System Board of Governors approved the 2021-2022 fiscal year budget for the three campuses of Colorado State University Fort Collins, Colorado State University Pueblo and Colorado State University Global. This brings a hope to return to normalcy in the Fall of 2021 for CSU Pueblo as students, staff, and faculty return to more in-person operations and campus life.
