Each item below provides a short description of the enrollment support opportunity, as well as contact information that allows you to volunteer.

Lunch with a Prospective Student
All professors are invited to select a day to have individual conversations with high school students in their school about careers and academic pathways. The schedule will be posted in University Tracks Centers for students to sign up.
Time: 1.5 hours per session

Faculty & Staff Presentation
Employees interested in talking with students about their services and programs are encouraged to sign up to present at a local high school. Registration must take place four (4) weeks before the presentation time to allow enough time to coordinate.
Time: 1 hour presentation
Non-Academic Department Meetings
Departments can select a day for high school students to meet with key representatives in their high school to answer enrollment questions.The schedule would be posted in University Tracks Centers for students to make an appointment.
Time: 30 min – 1 hour meetings

Alumni are able to present to student groups about their career and the impact that CSU-Pueblo had on their lives.

Admissions and Recruiting Training
Become a CSU-Pueblo advocate for potential students, and learn what you need to know about the enrollment process and key recruitment messaging to be effective.

Campus Visit Participation
If you would welcome campus visitors to your classes, or you think something in your area would make an excellent stop for a special tour, we want to know about it! Prospective students want to see real classes in session, or interact with current students and members of the University team.

Always know about Admissions visitors to campus with a weekly group visit email that enables you to greet visitors, even stop for an impromptu chat with the group as your paths cross on campus.

Departments can identify current students from their programs to be trained as departmental ambassadors. Students would get involved with recruiting visits planned by the departments to area schools and events, with training provided by the Office of Admissions. Students may be eligible for stipends using funds available to Admissions.
Ambassador positions are limited to 5 students total for the 19-20 academic year.

Current & Incoming Student Events
Faculty and staff are invited to take part in these one-stop enrollment events for continuing and new students. Volunteers may provide enrollment support, welcome assistance, information table staffing, and general engagement.

It’s a day for tabling, mingling with potential students and families, and greeting visitors as they arrive on campus. Admissions will contact departments regarding presentations and info session tables, but you can get involved in other ways. Bring your school spirit!

Academic Event Partnership
The Enrollment team wants to be a bigger part of department events that may yield additional students. Work with Admissions to invite potential students to research symposiums or other special events to showcase your department’s strengths and begin connecting students earlier.
This applies to students beyond traditional freshman to include transfers, adult learners, and graduate students.

New Student Convocation
Come celebrate the beginning of incoming students’ collegiate and academic journey at CSU-Pueblo. All staff and faculty are invited to participate in and lead the students through the Academic Pledge and pinning ceremony during the student convocation.

New Student Orientation
Interact with new students and families as they visit campus and learn more about the transition to the academic year ahead. Volunteers serve as greeters, lunch companions, panelists, and in other engagement roles.

Get Classy Enrollment Event
Faculty and Staff are invited to take part in this continuing student enrollment event in our residence halls, including greeting students, answering questions about your department, and assisting with re-enrolling students prior to finals week.

Participation is required for all full-time faculty and staff. Assignment will be coordinated through the Commencement Planning Team in Spring 2020.
Colorado State Fair Booth
Come represent CSU-Pueblo in our Colorado State Fair booth! Greet fairgoers, collect inquiry forms from potential students, and serve as a connector to the University. Training is provided.
